Is it HIPAA-equivalent for India? What about DPDP Act?
India's data-protection regime is the DPDP Act 2023 (DPDPA). Trinetra is built DPDPA-compliant: explicit consent on first message, purpose-limited data collection, encryption-at-rest, right-to-deletion endpoints, and Indian data-residency on the Pro plan. Patient data never leaves India unless you explicitly opt out. HIPAA equivalence is a separate certification we don't claim — most Indian clinics don't need it.
Lab report file size — is there a limit?
WhatsApp Cloud API limit is 100 MB per file. Most pathology reports are under 5 MB; radiology PDFs up to 30 MB ship without issue. Larger DICOM files should be hosted on your imaging server with a download link sent via WhatsApp instead of attached directly.
Doctor across multiple clinics — same number or different?
Either works. Single-number setup (doctor sees a unified inbox across clinics, conversations tagged with clinic) is more common. Per-clinic numbers (each clinic has its own WhatsApp Business number) is cleaner for big chains. Trinetra supports both — switch the model at any time.
How do you handle minors / pediatric patients where the parent is the contact?
Per-patient contact records support a "minor" flag with parent_name + parent_phone + relationship_to_patient. All consent and communication routes via the parent's WhatsApp. Custom-field schema you can extend for your clinic's specific needs.
